About Me
Dr. Morrison is originally from a small town in Pennsylvania. It was here that she developed her passion for ensuring access to high-quality medical care for all, and discovered the ability to care for a community through the care of its families. She traveled to Buffalo, NY to complete her undergraduate and medical school training at the University at Buffalo, and she was then called to complete her residency and Chief Resident year at the University of Rochester Family Medicine Program.
Dr. Morrison enjoys taking care of patients of all ages, with deeper clinical interests in nutrition/dietary counseling, integrative medicine, women's health, and pediatric/adolescent care, as well as procedures including skin biopsies, joint injections, trigger point injections, and placement of long-acting reversible contraception options such as IUDs and the Nexplanon implant.

Dr. Morrison is by far the BEST physician I have EVER seen. She told me more about my medical history than anyone had ever told me. As a new patient I was more than impressed. She was on point with every medical condition I have. Really I can't say enough about her and the whole staff. My previous pcp I had for over 30 years, but I rank Dr. Morrison #1.

This was my second visit to this office and my first visit meeting this provider who is my new PCP. I was VERY impressed with the fact that I could tell she knew my history and had done her homework on me before meeting me. My previous provider had moved to a new practice and I was assigned a new PCP, I saw her a few times and it was clear that she had never read my chart and history based on our conversations and my visits. [...] the doctor and the practice in general were well worth the wait! Right around the corner from home and after having an urgent visit at Strong West they did end up seeing me sooner as a follow up with their NP who also was wonderful! The front desk was very pleasant as well and even made sure to change how my visit was scheduled so I didn't get over charged. Top notch care and compassion so far!

Dr. Morrison is quite frankly the BEST primary care Dr. I have had since I was a child. She pays close attention to all of my health concerns as well as providing good perspective on how I can take agency over improving my health (mentally and physically) I feel blessed to have her quarterbacking my health plans going forward.

Amanda Morrison was totally aware of my medical history including clinical lab tests/history/trends and cardiac situation when annual physical/wellness visit BEGAN. She provided absolutely complete and clear answers to all my many questions, immediately showed me clarifying medical info & illustrations on her monitor, facilitated colabarative benefit/risk analysis/decisions. She diagnosed and clearly explained the cause of hip discomfort provided a web link for exercises/stretching videos I am doing myself (already resulting in improvement). I feel I left the appointment with a comprehensive (patient's perspective) understaning of my medical status

I have been very impressed with Dr. Morrison's compassion and consideration of a health problem that I expected to be minimized or written off due to its stigma in both society and medicine. Instead, she listened to me, heard and understood the problems I was having and their underlying cause, and was able to provide me with medication that has drastically improved my quality of life and given me the ability to take additional steps to improve my health. I am deeply grateful for her care.
