Rochester鈥檚 home-away-from-home for seriously ill patients will get a boost from the community during the 鈥淎nd the Beat Goes On鈥︹�� benefit dinner for Harbor House of Rochester.听

The event is 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Monroe Golf Club and is the main source of funding for the home, which supports families of patients who travel long distances for UR Medicine and organ transplant and other .听

The evening includes grazing stations along with raffles and auctions for artwork, jewelry, golf outings and trips, including a seaplane ride over the Finger Lakes and an Adirondacks adventure. WROC News 8 anchor Maureen McGuire is the emcee.

Funds will be used to keep the home, located in the Mount Hope Neighborhood, affordable for families supporting loved ones hospitalized at Strong Memorial Hospital. Organizers hope to raise more than $50,000 to help cover operating expenses for the coming year.
