COVID-19 Vaccines

You do not have to be a patient of UR Medicine/Golisano Children's Hospital to sign up for our Pfizer COVID vaccine clinics.

Please remember to bring your CDC Vaccine Card and/or Excelsior Pass, insurance card, and ID for this visit. As a reminder, there is no out-of-pocket cost for the administration of the vaccine.

Children Ages 5-11: Bivalent booster available only.
Golisano Children’s Hospital Pediatric Practice is offering the bivalent booster doses for all eligible children 5-11 years of age. For more details, visit the Golisano Children's Hospital's families page or schedule an appointment below.

Children and young adults ages 12-25: Bivalent booster available only.

What to Know About Updated COVID-19 Boosters

The US Food and Drug Administration has authorized the first set of updated COVID-19 vaccine boosters, which target the most recent dominant subvariants of the coronavirus and can help keep you protected. Medical Center experts Ann Falsey and Ed Walsh, professors of medicine, answer questions about the new boosters.

COVID-19 Testing

Testing for COVID-19 is available throughout our region. To locate sites near you, use the NYS Department of Health test site finder. Remember:

  • If you have mild symptoms, were exposed or need a positive test to return to school or work, at county, state or local pharmacies or call the NYS COVID-19 Hotline at 1-888-364-3065.
  • If you use a home test kit and have a positive result, stay home unless you are ill and need medical attention.

Masking

Masking is encouraged for all, and masks will be provided on request. Please wear a mask if you have symptoms of illness (e.g., respiratory symptoms, fever, rash). In some areas where patients may be especially vulnerable, such as the Wilmot Cancer Center and select outpatient infusion centers and clinical areas, everyone is required to mask in all patient and public areas. Please adhere to signage in those areas and/or when staff asks you to mask.
